Did you ever think your boring high school history class would have been more interesting if your teacher was drunk? I sat through a couple semesters of Pete “My Son Rex” Richardson’s history classes and I can’t tell you thing one I learned in those classes. I can’t even remember which historical eras he covered.
Well, in the latest episode of Drunk History, a dude named Duncan Trussell put this challenge to the test, drinks a six-pack of beer, a half bottle of absinthe and then goes on to tell the story of Nikola Tesla and his invention of alternating current electricity. If Mr. Richardson’s classes were this entertaining, I’m sure students’ retention rates would have been much, much higher.
Staring John C. Reilly as Tesla and Crispin Glover as Thomas Alva Edison.
If you’re digging on this Drunk History and would like to see another reenactment of a historic event involving electricity, check out this episode starring Jack Black as Benjamin Franklin.
